Chilko Lake Lodge is a remote wilderness retreat, and reaching us is part of the adventure! Here’s how you can get here:
CHARTER FLIGHT
From Vancouver, you can take a charter flight directly to our lodge, enjoying stunning aerial views of the Chilcotin wilderness.
From Abbotsford, enjoy breathtaking views of BC’s wilderness as you head straight to Chilko Lake Lodge—where your journey becomes part of the experience.
COMMERCIAL FLIGHT/DRIVE
Just an hour in the air from Vancouver to Williams Lake, then a scenic three-hour drive through pristine wilderness. Every mile brings you closer to the serenity, beauty, and adventure awaiting at Chilko Lake Lodge.
SELF DRIVE
For the adventurous, the lodge is accessible via scenic backcountry roads from Williams Lake.
* Take Highway 20 West toward Bella Coola.
* Follow Highway 20 for approximately 200km to Tatla Lake.
* In Tatla Lake, turn left onto Tatlayoko Lake Road.
* Continue on this road and follow signs for Chilko Lake (also known as Ts’yl-os Provincial Park).
* The final portion of the journey includes a gravel road approximately 60km — a 4x4 vehicle is recommended, especially in wet conditions.
Important Notes:
* There is no phone service for much of the drive, so we recommend downloading offline maps or using a GPS.
* Fuel up in Williams Lake, Alexis Creek, or Redstone, as services are limited beyond that point.
* Wildlife is common in the area — please drive with caution.
