Final Frontier Since 1941

A Legacy of Wilderness and Adventure

For generations, adventurers have been drawn to Chilcotin Country, a vast plateau and mountain region west of the Fraser River. Known for its wild horses, rugged landscapes, and rare solitude, this untouched wilderness has long been a sanctuary for those seeking adventure and tranquility.
Whether exploring its remote trails, witnessing the beauty of untamed nature, or simply embracing the silence of the frontier, Chilcotin remains a place where the spirit of adventure lives on.

Chilko Lake Lodge was born in the 1940s when German immigrants discovered this breathtaking land and built the iconic log cabin that still stands today. Though ownership has changed over the years, its spirit remains untouched. A gateway to pristine wilderness where guests can disconnect, explore, and reconnect with nature.

the final frontier isn´t just a place

It’s an experience, offering endless adventure, solitude, and the raw beauty of the wild.

Chilko Lake Lodge: A place where souls rest, fires crackle, and eagles echo through valleys. This poem is our story, whispered in verse:

Chilko Lake Lodge

‍By mountain’s breath and river’s song,
Where eagles cry and bears belong,
There stands a lodge by Chilko’s shore,
A haven wild, forevermore. Its timber walls hold quiet grace,
A peaceful, rugged kind of place.
The lake reflects both sky and soul,
And fly lines dance with nature’s goal. The fire burns as twilight nears,
With laughter soft and clinking beers.
A refuge deep in untamed land,
Where time moves slow, and hearts expand. So here beneath the pine and sky,
Let worries fade, let spirits fly.
At Chilko Lodge, the wild is near—
A perfect peace, year after year.
