I have fly-fished rivers and lakes all over bc, but my recent discovery of the Chilko River and their trout has made it one of my favourite places. The water is crystal clear, the fish are beautifully coloured, fat, strong and a good size. They readily take dry flies and jump to make an exciting experience.

Every day I was there, I hooked at least 25 to 30 fish – but have to admit to only landing about 10 or 12! Still a good day by any standards! The challenge of the fishing and the beauty of the wilderness will bring me back to the Chilko River for many more years to come.

With 76 years of history, Chilko Lake Lodge is sheltered by the rugged glaciated peaks of the Coast Mountains in beautiful British Columbia, Canada.
